Can anybody tell me what the altenators off on a350i mk1 please, looks like the diods gone.

Same thing happened on mine, got it repaired at Lucas Service on the Coneygre Ind Estate in Tipton. Or a replacement from there for a lot less than a dealer!

Probably an Rover SD1 unit, should be available from most motorists centres I would think, Partco etc

Take you old one in and they can normally match them as they can be left handed or right handed as well on the mounting points

I fitted a Lucas LRA407 to mine last year when my original one failed. £85 from the local Lucas shop.
