Donington - 30th October

probably my last track day of the year and will probably be wet again but looking forward to it....

I hope for a few less red flags and nobs than were at Croft last Saturday...

Does anybody know where helmets can be hired from? I want to take my dad out for a ride but only have my own helmet....

can either do it online or after the briefing, but you'll need to be quick...

yer, just emailed and they have helmets for £10. £5 for a passenger.

Last time I did Donington, there were a lot of Red flags, most for the usual reasons, caused by people going too fast too soon. That started backing up the Pitlane. Once everything calmed down and there were no stoppages, the pitlane was pretty free flowing with only a wait of a minute or so max before being allowed out.

It seems to be an issue when the day keeps getting stopped and restarted, instead of people naturally going out and coming in, they all queue to go out together.

I`m obviously hoping we`ll have no problems

I'll be there, also probably last one this year. My first year of trackdays and I've thoroughly enjoyed everyone. Hoping for dry weather, but will see what we get.

I just checked two weather reports and both say dry!

I do have a garage booked if anybody wants to share (they are big at Donington)?

I didn`t realise you were in the Garage when I was talking to Ben. Sorry.

I had a thoroughly enjoyable day, a bit annoying those few who went out on cold tyres, put it in the gravel and red flagged the session just as it was getting going. Stopped the `flow` of the day and meant more queues than usual. A bit of a shame, but the track was great although tyres needed a couple of laps to warm up first.

That classic mini put it into the gravel on the sighting laps ! I`ve never seen them red-flagged before

That green Primera (?) had some of the oddest lines I`ve ever seen on track. Approaching right handers on the right of the track and understeering through the corner. Hilarious to watch, but not really surprising he had so many `moments`

Was a good day out! That primera was brilliant to watch! A few times he nearly spun in front of me, I did have a pretty big moment up at mcleans, sideways and across the grass!! Slightly brown trousers.

That mk2 golf in the picture was very interesting what's going on with the underfloor aero?

I had a great day, the M3 was going well. Just need to sort myself out with some good tyres and look in to my fuel starvation issue on fast right turns...

Sorry, forgot to say hi. The Primera was funny, I think a lesson with one of the instructors was called for.
Mini going off on the sighting lap was great....

I was there too in my silver Mx5, the one stuck in the gravel....

oops! Tyres were hot just got crossed up on someone else's gravel and off i went!
