S320L LWB - Does it feel big to drive ???
Discussion
HI Guys,
Quite tempted to get one of these but how cumberson are they to drive over the SWB version.
I have driven quite a few large cars in terms of width and length but I am thinking is this too much.
History, ML420, Audi A8 and RR vogue 2005 model.
Its something I want to buy for me and my father but if its far too cumbersome compared to the above I may just keep looking for my desirec spec in SWB

thats actually good to know - i guess parallel parking is out the question? multi story car parks?
does the s320 lwb models come with air suspension as standard.
Multi storey car parks were buttock clenching at times, but the good old MB turning circle was a big help, as it is with parallel parking! At the end of the day, relax, it's only a car and it's not like you've been driving Fiestas! I got used to mine in no time and found that it shrunk around me when I was driving it. I will always remember one Saturday night when I parked in a multi story with the rear end about an inch from the barrier behind the car, yet as I looked over my shoulder as I walked away, it looked like it had rolled out into the middle of the car park and people were driving past giving it a look of disgust! does the s320 lwb models come with air suspension as standard.

As above, not a problem at all. Had no problems parking or using a W140 S600L or a W220 S600L in Central London.
Unfortunately, my goal of using a Maybach 62 as a daily driver will have to wait a few years (that is a long car!)
I find this really interesting because I find central london murder to car in. I went to an NCP carcar near china town with my Audi A8 and the full way round my parking sensors were at a constant tone the sides were that close and I wonder how on earth someone would get an s320l in there.Unfortunately, my goal of using a Maybach 62 as a daily driver will have to wait a few years (that is a long car!)
I think its probably the turning circle that must significantly help.

I have driven Maybach 62 in Central London: again relatively easy but the car is deceptively wide so needs a bit of care. I drive a Maybach Zepellin as everyday car and you certainly need to be careful when parking: length is deceptive.
If, while driving, you see someone run across the road, jump onto the bonnet and start bowing to the Maybach emblem, I can only apologise in advance. I am weak - forgive me :-)There was a dark brown over light tan, which was replaced by a white one (same number plate), that used to live on Prince Albert Road but I have not seen it in some time now.

They are like the black cabs (at least the W140/C140's were - the W220 did not seem as good)I think its probably the turning circle that must significantly help.
