Recording streaming audio

Is there any software (preferably free) to record streaming audio in an MP3 format?

Yes there is but I'm not sure what it is called, I recorded some stuff that was streamed from realplayer (spit) to mp3. I have the software on another pc at home, if you have no luck then I'll post over the w/e.
