What next for my DB9?

Got a DB9 volante my11. Great GT,occasionally exciting in sport mode, wished it was as exciting as the old Vanquish S, now depreciating faster than Felix Baumgartner I expect.

If I win the £35k on the pools should I

1. Pay off the finance
2. Go to BR for upgrades, if so which and why
3. Chop it in for a leggier DBS
4. Chop it in for an older V12V
5. Chop it in for a newish V8S
6. Keep it and buy an old V8V
7. Refinance it into a new DB9 vol
8. Keep it for weekends and buy an old Porker 911 for everyday.

buiy some new sill plaques to make it personnel.....you may even have enough left to put petrol in it...;)

I'd you want a manual box, grab a DBS, otherwise I'd you can magic it into the DB9.2 then that'd what I'd do! I'm assuming you have a TT2 car?

To BR your car would get you around 530-540bhp for the least money. And get their big brake kit and Virage shear panels, you already have adaptive damping on an MY11..?

So you'd be well over DBS spec already and the cost to change would be the least for the biggest results!

The Vanquish has always been a very poor Volante. I blame the roof.

Can't see any reference to Volante only in the first post... Would be odd to consider an older V12V if it had to be a convertible too

There's an American firm who will chop a Vanquish but the results are not good looking - has a DB7-style roof which sits outside the car

Wonder if the 310quish will have a folding hard top? Needs it to compete with the California I think.

Why bother? Adds weight, takes up more space and would be costly to implement. The money could be better spent on other things imo, nothing wrong with a fabric roof.

yes its a DB9 volante TT2 with ADS, (in fact AML's mule for ADS on a DB9 volante)

Agreed its a choice twixt TT2 and Manual, mind you I liked the ASM in my old vanquish S apart from when creeping up hills.

Pay off the finance.........people will think your poor ! Borrowing money for depreciating assets is never good

That's one that only they can answer! That much work, you might be able to negotiate a nice deal. It won't be cheap, but god is it good!! All work is modular so you can cherry pick the best bang-for-buck mods.

You might not need shear panels, they might be fitted to MY11 cars anyway, they were on Virage and DBS Volante... Please give them a call, I'd be interested to see how you felt it drove before and after. Nothing short of a revelation for both them and me!
