Its been 16 months since my 400SE was started, so yesterday I cleaked all the crap that had accumulated ontop of her (20 rolls of fibreglass, carpets, tools etc) and, after charging the battery for almost 3 days, she turned on the key and fired almost immediatly. Needless to say at this point I cut the ignition, pulled the HT Lead off the coil and then turned her over a few times on the starter to get the oil moving.
Upon reconnecting the HT Lead, again, she fired first time and ran for 10 - 15 seconds until the oil pressure started to rise.
Looking to get her out and run her until warm in the next week or so, then get her MOT'd over the comming months.
I have a few Jobs to do on her
New Veneer
Rebuild the heater controls
Sort out the illumination for the switches and dials
remove / replace the under bonnet insulation that is falling down
but aside from that, nothing should need doing as she only did 200 miles since her last service (ok, tyres maybe but only because she has been stood for the last 16 months

Bet that feels great. Get it sorted and MOT'ed
I'm in a similar situation but mine need a lot more done to it before it see's the road again but next year it WILL be on the road! Even hearing mine run would be a big incentive.
It was. I resisted the irge to give it Large as she had been stood for so long, and my youngest was down for her mid morning nap, but as soon as I get home from work (currently overseas), its first on my lost of things to do (just above cut the lawn and winterise the lawnmower!)I'm in a similar situation but mine need a lot more done to it before it see's the road again but next year it WILL be on the road! Bet the neighbours were over the moon
Unfortunatly for them, it was in the middle of the day and didnt get the aural pleasure. Ill be sure to repeat it the morning after they have a late night party ... and leave it idling for 10 minutes while she warms up Bet the neighbours were over the moon
