First post in this forum as I'm looking after my brother's 94 3.9i Vogue while he is working away.

Could anyone tell me, or show me a pic of what the standard airbox setup is on one of these? It currently has a K&N cone filter on it which is a bit noisy for my liking. I've searched Ebay and found conflicting results, claiming to be the same thing.

Is it like this?

Thanks!

This is the round type you show in your ebay link, but IIRC the very last Classics used a square housing - this link says from chassis number MA647645 http://www.steveparkers.com/parts-accessories/disc...

Those round ones were used on the early 3.9 V8.

As yours is a '94, it will probably be what's known as a 'Soft Dash' and fitted with air-bags. This later type was a square filter housing, which sat on the tray behind the N/S/F headlight.

Thanks gents. It's one of the last hard dash models, reg 1 January 1994, chassis number ends 646461 so perhaps it needs to be the round job. I had seen the square one on eBay (plastic ribbed job with Land Rover) embossed on it and that's what had confused me.
