Has anybody else had problems getting the BBC I player to work on a Virgin TiVo box?. Mine just hangs, it's practically impossible to watch anything.

Also while I'm on, how can you delete recorded programs in bulk. Mine's decided I want about 72 hours worth of Fireman Sam and various other kids programs, because somebody pressed 'like' at the wrong moment. I can only delete them one by one and even then i have to start playing them stop and delete.

There must be a better way? rolleyes

A couple of times i've given up trying to watch something on iPlayer, after navigating through 15 layers of menu to find it hangs before it begins to play. Occasionally will stop half way through a program as if it's paused, but unable to start again.

Probably only does this one in 10 times, but still frustrating.

Haven't had it long enough to build up a list of programs to delete in bulk. Still trying to figure out what this thumbs up thing is supposed to do. I thumbs up quite a few programs but it doesn't always record them, prefering instead to record something random.

You can delete recorded programs in bulk by highlighting the top level entry and pressing "Clear" (bottom left of remote).

I read somewhere that the Tivo uses a dedicated 10MB connection which should be plenty. But, in my 9 months or so with Virgin I've found their service to be so unreliable that I treat iPlayer as something that might work if I'm lucky rather than something to rely on.

IPlayer has been better on Tivo since the upgrade. However, I also have a Sony player that does IPlayer and a PC hooked up to my telly, so often use different sources for iPlayer.

iPlayer on Tivo is entirely unusable. The rest of the OD content is fine, so I have no idea why iPlayer should be so different.

Not just me then, when I get a minute I will drop Virgin support a snotty email and see what comes of it. Not much I expect.

The iPlayer on my Virgin HD box works fine....interface is clunky but it works.
