Wow - what a day!!!!

Yesterday was definitely one of the best of my life! As some of you are aware I have a V12VR on order and sometime ago I was asked if I would like to visit the factory to see her being built. You can guess my response. 
On the face of it an easy thing to do but in practice really difficult to get the timings sorted. Anyway last week we got the call - to be at Gaydon at 10:00 on 18 October. Up very early (for us) to make the trip up from Exeter but we arrived on time and with growing excitement and expectation. Lloyd Newbury from Grange was there to greet us and in we went.
Steve from Aston Martin was our guide and no messing about straight to the car on the production line which was just what I wanted. There she was our tungsten car with bitter chocolate interior. No doors or seats at this stage but very recognisable as our car. What a feeling to see your own car being built. We just stood there and watched - Fantastic! There cannot be many people fortunate enough to have seen there own car being built. For me the colour combination was even better than I had hoped for.
We then went off and did the factory tour and saw four other V12VR's going down the line and by the time we got back to our car it had doors and seats fitted. To tell the truth we didn't want to leave it and it will be a very difficult wait for it to arrive down in the SW.
We are off to Mauritius next week and hopefully our car will be ready for collection when we get back towards the end of November - pictures will be posted. Quite a nice way to pass the time although I have a feeling she will be at Grange sometime before we get back! Come back early?
Thanks to all at Aston Martin and Lloyd at Grange for making this happen. What a day and you have two very grateful customers for making the extra effort to enable us to see the car. We feel very special and privaleged to have done so. Roll on delivery.

but will live in our memories for ever Cool! My wife and I were at the factory on Tuesday and Wednesday, also to see our V12 Roadster in production.

Perhaps I can get Lloyd to give me the heads up when you car arrives in Exeter so I can go and see it in all its glory whilst you are away bashing little white balls down a hole in the sun

We will be at Belle Mare Plage, both mad golfers, and this is our 11th visit so you might say we LIKE the Island. Great people and, usually, great weather in November. Really looking forward to it but at the same time wanting to get back for the roadster - very unusual feeling.Karen and I are back in Mauritius again in May - Sands Resort & Spa - so I hope you have a great time
