Sorry, but just doing the body mods don't make it a GT2 replica for me. Oh, & sticking 996 GT2 style side decals on just looks s**t IMHO.

I'm currently going through the process on my 993 Turbo, but at least I'm starting with (almost) the right car! It's a factory non-sunroof car & is already converted to RWD with GT2 front hubs. Polybushed, KW V3's, Recaro Pole Positions, RS interior, rear seats deleted, no aircon or radio. Just located a genuine GT2 rear bootlid so only the arch extensions to source before it's off to the bodyshop.

I'm under no illusions about it being as good as the real thing, but then it won't have cost me anything like as much either wink

That car has been disussed before. It has been for sale for over a year.I think if I remember rightly the mileage was quite high or kilometers?? It was about five grand dearer last year,I considered it but found a similar car with low miles so I bought that instead.I think it needs different wheels on it,but thats just my opinion.

I wouldn't do it personally, but if it checks out mechanically I think for £17k you could have a lot of fun in that car.

It wouldn't be 18 grand if it was...

Sure somebody would get pleasure out owning it..

Kill it with fire.

And why does everyone insist on using the moniker 'GT2'?

£18k - return to standard = 993 C2 an appreciating asset!

Is this the one with the dodgy sunroof that was out in the snow?

Certainly remember it being discussed on here before

Would look ok with a decent set of wheels and no stripes on the side

This is what I was thinking. Miles must be very high I reckon.

Because Porsche did (and still does) produce a 'GT2' perhaps?

'10k spent on bodywork' = Massive Fail.
Ruined a perfectly good 993 in the process.

You sure?

Obviously I'm not talking about >996.

Porsche seem to think so anyway.
