Roadside rescue - Adrian Flux???

Evening all,

Just tried renewing my AA membership and it's 20% more than last year, even when trying to negotiate with them!

Anyone tried Adrian Flux's rescue for £62 as per Garlick's post?

Got to say the AA have always been pretty good, but 20% is bl**dy ridiculous!

I have it with my insurance and its pretty good except for the 2 hour wait iv had on both breakdowns. But they havent attempted a more serious repair than a jump start with me.

I'm with them. Had to use them twice, both times turned up within 30 minutes, and kept me fully informed as to when they were on their way and an ETA

I know I work for Flux so you may think I'm being biased but from a personal experience the service was very good. My girlfriends car would not start one Sunday morning. We called the breakdown number and a mechanic turned up within 30-40 minutes. It turned out to be a major issue with the engine so it could not be fixed there and then (after trying various ways to get it going). They took the car away to a mechanic she normally uses in Norwich which was over an hour away and they were perfectly happy to tow it that far.

Used once for the Benz at home, got there within 30 mins. Once for the Range Rover on the side of a motorway and they arrived in 45 mins and had home start on the TVR.

So far so good from me.

AA have been good but their attitude and cost was pretty shocking, you'd have thought they'd be trying to bend over backwards at the moment to keep long term customers.........
