Alternator for a 1994 pre-serp

Hi all, newby here......i need to replace my alternator , any idea what make, part number this is and where can i obtain one? My Chimeara is a 1994 4.0L pre-serp. Not the multi-rib pulley belt

I'm from the Stafford area if that's any help.

Hi John, and sorry you didn't get an earlier response.

Your best bet is to get an alt that was TVR specific and here is one (good) source: http://www.thetvrshop.com/TVR/Parts_details/TVR%20...

Obviously disconnect the battery before change-over and take careful note of where the three connectors at the rear attach.

kenny chim has directed you to what looks like a serpentine alternator plus alternators are not tvr specific the unit you want can be sourced from any motor factor just advise them it is for early rover marque that has the rv8 power unit take yours along failing all that i have a brand new spare.
I am aware the text aludes to preserp but the picture does not so if ordering online as opposed to direct purchase make sure it is actually for the preserp.

Thanks all, i took the alternator off and nipped down to the local motor factors, who after scratching their heads for some time identified an exact match. The alternator is now on and all is well.
