Ok we know the wedge is the ultimate car, but if you had unlimited beer tokens like johnny wedgie what car would you purchase? Sensible answers within your budget please, as in previous post mines a de tomaso longchamps but I also loved the lotus Esprit in JPS colours. Just cause I had to walk past one jammy Arabs car every time I went to college.

Problem is I love 60's styling but I'd like it combined with the performance reliability and handling of a modern motor
So my ultimate car would probably have to be a one off custom built car - An Aston DB4 GT with DB9 underpinnings

A 'Q' car, as we oldies used to call them.
Standard type vehicle with a VERY powerful engine and top of the range suspension etc.etc.
eg Siera GL, fitted with RS cosworth 500 bits, no spoiler or paint job.

e.g. Opel Vectra police special. GL body and fittings but with the full SRI internals, and a tuned motor too. Reputed to be good for over 140mph.

'Modern classics',
Triumph Stag.
Porsche 928.
Scimitar SE6.
Lotus - trouble for me is being a bit taller than average - they are much too small !!
BMW M535 Alpina (I drove one of these once - very impressed)

there must be others.....

I still want a V8 wedge !!

That's 17 cars Stu - very greedy. Can see the reasoning behind most of them but a Viva Estate ? Why ?

I once had a Viva Estate that had 36k on the clock with 1 owner which was my nan!

I had rebuilt the gearbox and was in the middle of doing the top end at work.

One day I got home and it was gone, my dad said he had seen a couple of fellas put it on a flat back and drive off, he thought I had sorted it out!!

So I still need one to finish off, in colorado beige too!
We used to let the rear tyres down and swing it from side to side to get it skidding about!!

I would settle for my wedge to be completely rebuilt and body moulds made out if real carbon fibre, and finished to Ferrari or Aston's standard of finish.
Also to have the internals / electric system completely modernised with a US crate motor .. Maybe LS2
