HIGH INTENSITY BRAKE LIGHT FAULT ?

My car only has one very minor fault, but as the warranty expires in a couple of months, I might as well report it.
I just wondered if anyone else has experienced the following. I assume that it is a fault. Perhaps it is normal, but if so, I cannot think why. You can only see this when the car is in complete darkness. I first noticed it several months ago, when closing my garage door.
This is the fault - the tailgate brake light has many LEDs. The offside three LEDs are remaining on all the time, glowing very faintly.
I suppose I ought to check whether those three LEDs light properly, when the brake pedal is pressed.

The warranty should eliminate the cost aspect, but you did mention the expense. I think it might be a fair bet, that this particular part is fitted to other makes of car. It would be interesting to know the Aston price vs A N Other price.
Not every Aston part is unique. Eg. lift the bonnet of a Vauxhall Cavalier, and you will see the Aston Martin power steering fluid reservoir !
However, I do appreciate that with fewer customers, every company cost has to be passed on to a smaller base.
I am not brave enough for orange though. Mine is 'boring' grey, although it is a rare shade, so that might make it slightly more interesting.
