Someone has advertised my car

I cant see what they get out of copying an advert I used to have on this site and ebay classified a couple of weeks ago, then putting a really low price on (mine was up at £12800)
I think its a Manchester number, Ive emailed Autotrader to get them to remove it, but cant understand why someone would do this??
It has got Scam written all over it, but how?

I am 6000 miles away in thailand so cant do much at the moment. A buyer who had seen my car before alerted me about it by email.nottyash said:

Have you got someone who can move the car for you if it's away?
I.e someone who can keep it away from where it's known to be parked, or even better if they could keep it out of sight.
Although maybe i'm thinking to deeply, but this would be me, wouldn't take the chances.

They use an actual car so things like HPI checks and whatnot check out. There may well be a reg check against car details at the time of submission too, and the reg will show a car that checks out against the safeguards in place against DVLA data, is not showing as stolen and matches the car in the photos.
Unlikely your car will be stolen to order, it's the identity they want to upload a legitimate looking ad (price aside) to extract cash from the unwilling.
Report to AT for removal, they will (should) ban the advertiser and alert potential buyers too

My dad has my car so its not at my address, no worries there.
I cant believe people will fall for it though
