Autosnort dot com did a little bit on the old Fujispeedway layout. Great read for those that are subscribed for such things.

In some ways it's sad to see a circuit neutered like Fuji was in '74, and then utterly Tilke'd recently.

Here's what it used to flow like - love this Nissan Fairlady Skyline GT-R 6-pot roar!

The many great circuits of the world destroyed in the name of F1

Apart from the first corner which is nuts the rest of the track i just a mixture of fast right left corners apart from the tight left (which looks like is the turn 4 on the modern track) i wouldn't call it a great track. Would like too see a picture of the old track over the new one to see the difference.

Without the old 30deg banked Turn 1.

But yes, awesome soundtrack none the less.

You try finding one of those early Hakosuka Skyline GT-R's for less than £60K (road car, let alone race car!)

There you go, compare and contrast.
