It is with great shame I'm going to have to admit defeat with my engine install and send the car of to someone once I get back from holiday

It now seems to runs good, but I can not get the timing right and hence will not idle under 3000rpm

Must be annoying the neighbours by now

Oh well need to decide who to send to and how much going to charge. If they are going to charge too much then I may just stick some carbs on it instead!

Certainly no shame in getting an expert to tune it up, you have done all the real hard work that a good many would never have attempted!

Im with you on the carbs though, would love to ditch the injection for a bank of downdraughts.

Gets worse the 350 didn't get sold on ebay, so need to relist with lower price !!

I would cheerfully come and twiddle with it if you were a couple of hundred miles closer
I'll be in Portsmouth next week for a couple of nights if that's any help...

Away in Somerset this week, but thaks for the offer, got a couple more ideas to try when I return, like putting the old plenum back etc

Plus hopefully get a Rover V8 book for my birthday so can read up on it all !!
