Hi All, gutted the interior of my S2 yesterday, seats out, steering wheel + shrouds + stalks out, dash out and carpets stripped out, at the front of the gearbox tunnel it's covered with a sort of alloy / metal mesh, some of which came away along with the carpet, any idea what it was for or what purpose it serves (some sort of electrical screening?)

Also there was a modicum of sound proofing around the tunnel and rear seat belt turrets (semi dense foam with a cloth/mesh back) anyone recommend a good replacement?

Cheers

Tim
