Passenger window diagnostics.
Discussion
I've an intermittant fault with the passenger window. It won't wind down to open the door and the internal window switches don't function.
In addition when I hit the door button there is no delay in firing the door release soleniod. Like the controller already believes the window is down.
It's unfortunately intermittant and I wondered where I should start to look for such a fault or if anyone has a list of likely causes.

Sonnylad, are you talking of the door closed sensor? If so it's functional (the dome light goes out).
I gather the microswitch sets window top position? With it faulty the controller believes the window is already down and releases the door? If so then why are the interior controls also not functional?

Yes microswitch sets the window open position.I gather the microswitch sets window top position? With it faulty the controller believes the window is already down and releases the door? If so then why are the interior controls also not functional?
(the dome light goes out)If you mean central locking button its best left well alone.
If i open my door and window is fully down the interior switch will only take the window upto microswith setting then stop, but with door and magnet put to reed sensor it goes all the way up.
If your loosing door controls too it could be corrosion in the harness plugs. The ones inside the door have no water protection in them and they end up green and gungy. You can also get issues with corrosion on the plugs at the base of the a-post, pull the piece of carpet away from the a-post and you will find a couple of plugs near the lower hinge mounting.
