Whistling fuel pressure regulator

Hi all,

My adjustable fuel pressure regulator (aka; FSE valve / power boost valve) has started whistling. It did this before, and when the car went on a rolling road they adjusted it because it was making the car run rich. This stopped the whistling. Has anybody else noticed these valves making a whistling sound? Is it likely to be due to running slightly rich?

If it's one of those 'rising rate' pressure regulators, that's its way of telling you to replace it with a proper flat rate regulator from a good quality supplier.
