Theres nothing wrong with poly's bush...
..When i was replacing some bushes on mine i was going to go for poly but they were three times the price and three times as hard which means there is probably not enough flex in them..I know they are ok for a tracked car but after speaking with Dan taylor he hit the nail on the head when he said "Whats wrong with original".."They have lasted 30 years already"...I dont supppose they are that bad...How did you get on with the disc's..Any pic's...Ziga

Like jimbo said they take some getting on. I went for the poly bushes just because of the distortion of the rubber ones at the top of the tie bar but like you said they have been on a while.

They slid on ok it was compressing them to get the nut on the bottom. Whats wrong with the poly bushes then Zig?

Sounds familiar.. I have the purply ones on as well, within a matter of weeks they'd compressed out of shape and are probably just as shot as the rubber ones I took out Dix

It'll be interesting what you think of how the car drives and if they last... I put rubber bushes on my car from a certain welsh supplier and they'd split within a week. They were a sod to get on too.
Moral of the story is to use OE quality material not cheap sawdust filled cr*p, then maybe they'll last another 30 years!

Yep... the ball joints from them went straight into the bin; machining as rough as hell, ungraded nuts/bolts. Rubber bushes weren't even concentric, same destination.
The only bits I percevered with was the roll bar bushes, should have gone with my first instincts! I thought they'd be easy to swap out again... doh!
