Diagnostic software - Windows 7

I had it running fine on Vista using compatibility mode, upgraded the old Laptop (with serial port) to Windows 7 and it doesn't work.

I've tried XP Virtualisation mode, but that didn't seem to work either even when I passed through the COM ports.

Any tips?

I assume you mean RoverGauge- I wont run as a file on its own, it needs to be in the same directory as the associated files and it will run on vista OK. You can run it directly from the CD as a test but its slow. If this wont work, download another copy from here and unzip it:

Then once its unzipped simply run the rovergauge.exe file and it should burst into life. It does not need the cable at this point.

I had to install Oracle Virtualbox and then install win2000 pro on the virtual machine, then upgrade the graphics drivers to suit the widescreen format laptop screen, and buy a serial to USB convertor.

Its a faff, but it does work.

The Software will run without problems on a standard Windows 7, a virtual box is not necessary.

Which problems do you have using it on W7 ?

I think it depends on your version of win 7, it certainly wont run without issues on all versions, im not the only one who has had problems.
