Hi,

I tried the AG kit which brought the roof up we'll. it's no longer streaky, it's black and is generally looking much better. However, there are still green stains in places. Green circles, around 5-15mm diameter and I can't shift them.

Any tips? Different product to use? It's a 2003 BMW Z4

Thanks,

Dan

I did the interior on a 12 year old Disco at the weekend with various bits of mould/stains, traffic film remover sprayed on, scrubbed and then wet-vacced got it all up like new again!

Renovo is the way forward for convertibles. They make a cleaner and protector for vinyl and for fabric. it's about £20 iirc for both bottles. Nice and easy to use too.

Did you use a soft brush to agitate the cleaner all over the roof once you'd sprayed it on? You might need another go at it (or two) & make sure the cleaning solution is completely washed off each time otherwise it will leave a mark.

The seams tend to go green first as the crap collects there first & just washing the car normally wont shift it easily without some effort.

And re-proof the hood , paint on Fabsil is best when you have finished. This keeps it dry and stops the moss returning. dont get any sealer on the windows or paint though. The Autoglymn kits are very expensive for what they are.

No, just the sponge. I think a brush would have been better in hindsight.

It took forever to get all of the cleaner of the roof with the AG kit! I think I put too much on!

I've put the AG proofer on now, so I guess I'm best waiting a month or to before I clean it again to get the benefit of the proofer for a while.

Yes, soap washeds the proofer out, just clean a proofed fabric hood with a vacumn cleaner.
