Right changing rear discs and pads on 57 plate mondeo, they are wind and push calipers, I don't have the tool! Any ideas how to do it without the correct calipers tool? Cheers for your help

To be honest it is waaaaaay quicker to go a buy the proper tool.

I was in the same boat changing the S6 pads on mine, I used jack handle and levered them back, prob not the best but it was poaring rain and the front end was stripped down and I couldnt find the tool and the light was starting to fade. Done the job though!!

The OP is talking about the rear calipers, a totally different matter. Try levering handbrake caliper pistons back with a jack handle and you'll end up with a bent jack handle and possibly broken calipers.

OP, I have used an angle grinder spanner (the one used for changing the discs) in the past, in conjunction with a G clamp.

Thanks for your replies! Yeh I am going to try the grinding disc changing handle, good idea, see if that fits in nice, just hope the piston hasn't came out too far!! Cheers!!
