Im tempted, but at £125 it seems a tad expensive.

When this is a new alternative ...

Hi Mate..I have one of the ones in the second listing..Although i have a howlfrauds one over the top of it as it just about covers the car..The fleece linning is good and by the sound of it the newer design has under body straps whereas mine just has a string that you pull tight at the rear..Just make sure the cover is big enough to cover the whole car..Ziga

The Leven hood covers are about £150 new inc VAT I think.

I have them for both my Wedge and V8S. They are very heavy and don't move around, unlike a cheaper one I bbought which damaged the lacquer on another car. Not cheap but does the job and has done so for a few yearssmile

I have a halfords cover, been using it for the last 18 months. It's no longer waterproof, and has rubbed paint off due to the movement caused by the wind. About 9 months ago I would have recommended it, now I'm not so sure!

Although I suspect the paint rubbing is inevitable due to tiny particles of grit; and I don't have any benchmark to measure it against. It seemed good value, but I think I'll have to buy a new one every autumn.

Yes that happened to mine, I forgot to mention that...Thats why i went for a breathable all weatherproof fleece lined cover only it was a bit short and thats why i used a hailfrods one over the top..I think my first one only lasted a year..Ziga

Hi Mate..Does the advanced one has a fleece linning as the one i bought was around 60 sobs and it doesnt really have a linning..Its a little less harsh than the outside but not much..Thats why the one underneath has a fleece linng..I just wish it was a little bit bigger..Personally i think its worth splashing out on one with the correct linning and weatherproofing..

No, it's a single material...the ones I have had before (only for short term use) are the blue ones that don't breathe...horrible and you get what you pay for but super water proof!

We are in between moving at the mo so I have lost my garage space but should only need to have the toys outside for another month before I finally get my double garage! Can't wait!

Coverdale is where I got my tvr car mats from smile

When I bought mine off Fleabay it was for a TR7 (Shock Horror Shame!!!)
but when it arrived it is a perfect fit for my 400 and was cheaper
than those being sold for TVRs

I have the advanced multi layer one, not the thin blue waterproof variety. I wonder if a combination of the two might work? Would the thickness/wicking ability of the thicker cover keep the condensation down?

That's correct, PPC bought Leven about 2 years ago.

They have re-introduced various lines that had ceased production. I am fairly sure they still make the hood cover for the wedge, but they'll tell you if you call smile
