.... but I'm trapped frown

I live on a new build estate and they have recently started to re-surface the roads as they have had a temporary surface up until now.

The thing is the join from the new road to the temporary road is a huge drop. I tried to get The Chim out on Saturday as it was a bloomin lovely Autumnal day. Got the front wheels up the 'drop' and crawled forward, around 3/4 of the way along I start to hear scraping and I got scared frown

Red blocks are the 'drops' between new road surfaces and the other road is a dead end, no way out frown

Decided I didn't want to risk it so put the car away again, I was all excited as per normal about taking the car out but got denied and couldn't even get out of my own estate cry

Anybody else been thwarted at the last minute by something beyond your control?

When I had my Scimitar we went to look at a new build in Chippenham. We were scheduled to meet the Estate Agent there at 14:00. driving on to the estate at 13:45 I ground out on a speed bump. Gingerly rolled forward and then saw the next one, so we stopped and looked.... there were about 6-8 more to negotiate before getting to the house for the viewing.

we parked up and walked up to the house to politely inform the estate agent that we wouldn't be viewing the property as we couldn't get to it in the car.

They were stupified and said something like, well you parked it down the road so it must be OK... Now why would I buy a house with a drive and garage and not be able to drive to it?

Darn you Julesprivate, you have me worried now frown

I hope they don't put any speedbumps in when they are finished, no TVR unfriendly bumps at least.
