I am also after a new thermostat. Does anyone know an alternative supplier for the 'big bore' types, it's bad enough that they are £16 but to then charge £8.25 for delivery is more that I consider reasonable..

Closing slowly is a common failure mode so the engine runs cool. A standard bore thermostat has got to be better than a sluggish original.

On a similar but related note, I wonder what TVR thought they were getting by increasing the bore? They must have thought it worthwhile but then they were sending Tivs out to Dubai and places like that, with the increased engine load of AirCon. Surely in the UK climate a standard bore thermostat would be enough?

Best go for a higher temp as it's winter...

They are only a few quid and easily changed back for the summer.
