Crags is short term shedding in a merc

Well the Z4M coupe has gone to its new owner, so I'm without a car for the time being.
What to do? Ask the parents of course. Dad had two ambitions in life (car-wise), to buy a new merc & to get a boxster & he managed it with ease.
Now he's retired he's committed to using the boxster more often so I've nabbed this until the Z's replacement arrives (don't worry there'll be a separate thread for that one too).
So sitting on the drive is his old n reg C200, he keeps threatening to scrap it but it just refuses to die! Every year, an Italian tune up before the mot & away it goes for another 12 months ticket. Last year he fitted 4 new tyres (the old ones had perished) & doubled its value.
It still goes alright as well, the fuel guage doesn't work (trip it & fill it up every 220 miles was the advice, oh & keep a spare can in the boot), the passenger window is as slow as the electric ariel which for some reason can only pick up 5 live.
But all things considered she's not a bad old girl, classic silver over blue fabric with wood inlays. Well, when I say silver I mean silver & brown, the tin worm hasn't been kind & amongst other bits the arches are making a brake for it as we speak.
The new car (which you all will love) I can't collect until November, but until then I'm wafting in 4 speed auto style. What happens to her after this I don't know, "papa's banger" as my sisters kids affectually call it is more like a part of the family, scrapping would be akin to sending the family Labrador to the farm. Albeit an ageing Labrador that farts a lot & is a little arthritic in places.
