Would this be a fast track to a special place in hell?
Discussion
I keep pondering the idea of stripping my S Type R, adding a cage, bucket seats and a stiffer set up for the chassis. For some sort of fast road/ track car.
And then i remember, its a jag, and im not a chav.
What do you all think? Clearly there are cheaper ways to get a better car.
The autobox is probably the nail in the coffin for the plan anyway. But the thought still lingers in my head.
Help.

(Finally, id like to point out i dont currently have any where near enough money to embark on a project like this, so it wouldnt happen until this time next year, if ever. Probably never)

I dont see a problem with it, other than the fact its an auto & it`d probably knacker the box it in a single outing.
You could sell that one & pick up a tatty/tired/light salvage 3.0 manual for £500-ish instead, which`d make more sense..

How about a compromise?
Poly bush the suspension, change the supercharger pulleys, uprate the intercooler & fit some slightly more vocal exhausts?
Fun for a fast road car, light track days, and not lost its "grace, pace & space"....
It's a similar plan to what's going to be happening to my XJR next year ;-)

A recipe for ruinous consumable bills no doubt. Poly bush the suspension, change the supercharger pulleys, uprate the intercooler & fit some slightly more vocal exhausts?

But a fun one!
I seem to already have those ;-)
But a fun one!Heads have been done at Scholar when one gasket went. Gearbox fluids and filters done soon after buying it, through my second set of rear tyres, updated brake pads and discs to EBC Yellow Stuff and turbo groove discs...
Etc, etc, etc...

Did you get carried away posting that? Heads have been done at Scholar when one gasket went. Gearbox fluids and filters done soon after buying it, through my second set of rear tyres, updated brake pads and discs to EBC Yellow Stuff and turbo groove discs...
