Guys,

Noticed the below advert in the classifieds and from
Communication it is clearly a scam.

http://classifieds.pistonheads.com/classifieds/use...

It is pure comedy listening to some of the excuses behind not being able to view the car and numerous health reasons for not being able to speak on the phone.

So far he has had throat surgery and is based in Australia but has left the car with piston heads and will have the car delivered to my home if I can transfer my money. I kindly advised that I am based in Nigeria and would need the car shipped but would happily pay via a bankers draft for £3,500 and let him
Keep the differnace due to the inconvenience. I did also a western
Union money transfer if he gives me his account number and sort code

If anyone is working nights then please do me a favour and keep calling on the hour every hour or feel free to write him a little email yourself if you want to keep yourself amused.

I look forward to hearing your responses as to his replies

Funnily enough 'spanish' is a euphamism on here for manual cars!

You should be reporting it immediately, not making jest of it.

Whilst you may not be taken in by it, there are sadly many out there who would take it hook, line and sinker. The sooner these are removed, the better.

Not everyone seems to read the shoutCLASSIFIEDS FRAUD WARNINGS!

I'm sorry to hear that this is the impression given. Reality is we are a little more proactive with the new measures in place, and when ads are reported we are here to remove in moments. We certainly haven't relaxed our approach, instead we have ramped it up.

It's a still a very important part of what we do, perhaps the most important. Some new scam methods (in terms of how they get the ads live) have appeared recently but now we seek to remove and block rather than just remove.

Always report ads (this one was) as it helps us to keep a clean site.
