Car stolen - hit and run

Hi everyone,

I've been a member of these forums for a while now, but wasn't an active poster. Decided to share my experience today as I'm shaken after my car got stolen last night.

I put my current car up for sale on Auto Trader and Pistonheads as my new car is due for delivery next month. Last night a guy came to see my 2008 C-Class, started it up and drove off in it before I could get in it. It was stupid of me to keep the car engine running as he wanted to hear the engine. I tried to grab on to the passenger side door handle, he dragged me 20 ft down the road, I fell on the ground, bruised and grazed. The police came with in 5 mins as my neighbours saw me lying on the ground and called them right away.

I feel so angry right now, just glad that I didn't suffer any more serious injuries. The car was stolen from Swiss Cottage in London. Its a silver C200 CDI Sport, reg LO08YRJ. The police have said they have informed all Met Police units and the number plate has been given to the APNR cameras. Hoping that my insurance company Admiral can help me out.

bloody hell, hope you're alright - what an earth is going on in this world? may be a silly question, but did he introduce himself or anything? any clues to ID etc also just say he hadn't spyed his lucky chance to nab the car when he did - what else did he potentially have planned by means of stealing it? could've been alot worse..
