Now why would someone do this, or even come up with a kit to do so in the first place?

Not sure I'd like to hit anything in it either, can't see any bumpers under the front clam.. guess they just removed the mx-5 ones.

I fail to understand why anyone would waste time & money on doing such a thing.
Why not just buy a Z3 rather than ruining an MX5.

Bloody hell, a LOT of work and money went into that. I can only assume it was done when the Z3 was new and expensive, as now you can pick up a Z3 for a similar price to a tidy MX5. I have to say that it would probably fool a lot of non enthusiasts from 10 yards away!

You can pick up a genuine Z3 for a little more than this replica!!

I saw one of these about 11 years ago. As another poster mentioned, it was when Z3s were expensive to buy and import Eunos was much cheaper.

It it also like the Bantam (is that the correct name?), which was a Metro kitcar to look like an Audi TT. These replicas were awful but ten years ago would sell for about £4k built. Today completely worthless as a TT can be bought for peanuts....
