windscreen wiper motor, how to and help please
Discussion
hi,
well went to battle the romoval of the motor and arm today, and well i was surprised at how easy i got it out. What i did was first remove the 3 bolts that hold in the motor from inside the luggage part. Then i took the lid off the glove box and removed the part inside the glove box (the thing you throw all your cd`s etc.. in) Take the wiper arm off and undo the nut (26mm) that holds the wiper arm on. This then allowed the motor and bracket to be freely turned, i then undid the bolt that holds the swing arm to the motor, which then let it drop, then just pulled the swingarm bit out via the glove box, all in all took about 40 mins.
I have taken the motor apart and the cause of my problem is the green platic cog inside is worn on one side and so now is u.s. Does anyone know where i may be able to source one of these cogs insteed of buying a whole new motor.
I will post full detailed description on how i did this when i get a bit of free time.
