I am considering buying a classic car and understand there are certain company tax advantages the problem is you need to know the original cost
where can I find the l price of say a 1997 TVR Chimaera?

If I remember it has to be at least 15 years old, if it is now worth less than £15k you base the value on the price when it was new, if it's worth £15k or over you base it on the price now.

So you could, for instance, have a Lotus Esprit V8 and pay tax based on £17,500. Or an Elan from 1970, I can't find it's list price but the original Elan appears to have been about £1,500

Fraid I don't know enough about TVR's to choose relevant examples
