Can't be many engines that feature that mix of old and new technology. Given the amazing performance of the LS series I suppose it's only natural that they kept the pushrod arrangement. Personally I was hoping for some of the OHC cam & exhaust technology from the LFX V6 to feature in the new V8 but the new engine looks good, can't wait to see some stats.

As someone who owns a vette with quad cam 32 valve engine and one with 'pushrods'
A pushrod engine is much more compact and lighter.
