Griff Hard Top?

There's a guy on the Chim forum talking about making hard tops based on the Malaysian design from some time back which IMHO is so much better looking then the Steve Edwadrs design.
Does anyone know if the Griff and Chim roofs are identical or not? A hard top for the Winter would be brill.
Also is there anyone around who could photoshop the roof onto a Griff same colour as bodywork to see what it looks like.
Cheers

The Cerbera type hard top won't fit for the obvious reason that the back of the car is a completely different shape, whereas the Chim is more or less the same as the Cerbera.
Any other hardtops that where made for the Griff looked very similar to Steve's.
The only other hardtop that was mooted was Clive Reid's Zertec fastback but that covers the whole of the rear of the car. Clive is talking about making one for himself but it won't be cheap.

the targa top is the same I guess for the Griff and Chim?
so, the standard soft folding part is not equal to the one or other?
In principle the panels are the same, in practice each panel was custom fitted to each individual car so some fit better than others when swapped between cars. Pot luck in other words.so, the standard soft folding part is not equal to the one or other?
Again the collapsible rear part is the same design but the same caveats apply as above.
For the record Steve Edwards' conversion does fit on the Griffith but the part will not fit in a Griffith boot.
so then in theory when the short "cerbera" hardtop (look)
gets the same mounting area/points as the griff/chim original points of the top and rear part...
it should be (in theory) interchangeable just as the complete roof of the original parts are I guess...
or at least it could be made as such I guess...

ive lots of friends that have cobra replicas.
some fit a le mans hard top.
invariably, once fitted, they are such a PITA to take on and off, they tend to get left on all the time.......so...really need to decide IF that hardtop will get removed as often as you think before committing to the "newness" of the project.......just imho of course
