Hi Guys,

I have a vibration that causes the clutch pedal to vibrate on uptake (makes it diificult to judge bite point), it only happens when the car has been stop start driving in traffic / town. If driving on a good run it doesnt do it and im thinking a worn mount somewhere that perhaps get worse when hot ?!

I have had her for 11 years and was thinking of replacing both engine & gearbox mounts (never been done) both as a precaution and in the hope that it solves the vibration issues. Is this a pretty straight forward DIY job (its a 4.2 ajp)??

Look forward to some advice ...

Why did they refuse to sell you it? I've never had an issue purchasing a clutch before.... frown

I remember it being said AP will not sell TVR clutches direct to customers you have to buy them through authorised outlets. Not sure if anything has changed or not in that respect.

Your juddering does sound like a clutch plate issue. I was experimenting with some of the very early raceprooved plates they had the same issues when they got hot but were sorted out with later revisions.

Not sure how sorted as they no longer sell them.... At least they didn't when I inquired. They were too good apparently.
