What cars get driven fastest ?

As in day to day, I see all manner of expensive stuff generally driven fairly slowly, for me I think the current Discovery is the fastest driven car there is out there, they aren't that fast but I think the pliant suspension, high driving position, auto box and quiet interior means they get driven flat out everywhere.

I think you will find that Merc Sprinters and Ford Transits are the fastest motors on the road!!

Having been stuck behind countless Discos dawdling along, that's not been my experience. Has to be a hire car, or a works van really.

ETA - of course with 200bhp and 2.7 tonnes to haul along even driven flat out a 2.7 TDV6 Disco is going to be an obstruction to pretty much anyone trying to make progress!

I often see really good supercars doing about sixty on the motorways, but those disposable, colourless, German, identical cars usually do at least eighty or ninety.

I witnessed one of those arctics meant to be carrying cars chucked it around the roundabout this evening. No cars on board though and the rear wheels lifted off slightly and for a moment there I thought it will topple over.

Hire cars, company cars, stolen cars, police cars, Audis and BMWs etc etc. Although saying that my dear old Mum does drive a new Discovery (twin-charged diesel V6 ) and it often gets a good thrashing on the motorway....
