IVE REMOVED MY ENGINE COVER IN MY 1988 TURBO STEVENS ESPRIT.IT LOOKS GOOD WHEN YOU TURN AROUND AND SEE THE ENGINE THROUGH THE GLASS PARTITION.JUST WONDERING IF THERE IS ANY POTENTIAL PROBLEMS TO LEAVING IT OFF.IT SAVES 5KILOS IF LEFT OFF.

Oh my, put it back. You can cook the paint on the rear deck. The silver backing of the cover is a heat sheild and after a period of time the excess heat can cause the paint to peel on the rear deck. also it allows a gap in to the trunk area and dirt and grime will get in there after a period of time.
