Eurostar in January

We're off to Amsterdam in january to see a friend.

However, we cannot book tickets. We can see the timetable on their website but no matter what journey criteria we enter the website returns "No Tickets Available for your outbound journey"

We have been trying on and off for about a month now.

I would have thought that we would be able to book them by now - is this unreasonable, or are we doing something wrong?

I've had the same thing trying to book advance tickets to Heathrow in January, and I had the same problem last year.

It looks like its not possible to book more than three months in advance - keep trying until the day they "wake January up" on their system

Where are you leaving from? Arriving? And what dates?
I can get tickets from London to Paris in January.

Booking an imaginary trip on my birthday in Jan I can get as far as the payment page without issue

I was booking a Eurostar to Brussels, which I presume you are trying to do.

Trying to book London to Amsterdam, leaving 16th or 17th Jan, coming back 20th or 21st.
Until a couple of days ago it was saying that we couldn't book for those days yet and there were no timetables available.
Now the timetables are there, but if I try and book it's telling me there are no trains available for my outbound journey...................

I think they only allow you to book 3 months in advance, as they wont know their timetables or fares that far in advance

The Amsterdam leg of the journey will be on the Thalys train, not Eurostar

I don't think that you can book a Eurostar and Thalys together from the Eurostar website?

Try doing a test booking for Paris with the same dates and see if it will let you do it?

You might need to make the booking by phone to get a through ticket

Yes but Thayles have an operating agreement with Eurostar that means that you can book a journey all the way through on the Eurostar website.

I would have thought that Eurostar would be able to help you if you phone them no?

I'm pretty sure you won't be able to book more than three months in advance. That's certainly the case with trains in the UK. Are you near an airport? KLM do an excellent 'Cityhopper' service up to four times a day from a lot of regional airports in the UK.
