Is anyone moderating the moderators?

Just wondering.

JAYB was pissed because I dared to suggest he was being a complete cock on one particular thread. So he banned me.

I suggested that JAYB was a lot more offensive than I was. I just told him to leave the thread and don't look at it, if he didn't like it.

What to do?

Must admit in the last few months or so, a lot of mods do seem to have started some kind of Gestapo rampage. Quite a few threads and members have been banned or removed for what I see as hardly no reason at all or for petty reasons. What annoys me the most is that when somebody questions the decision the answer 90% of the time is just "talk to Garlick" and the thread is locked before the matter can be discussed.

The answer 100% of the time is to talk to Garlick. If you have any questions about moderation talk to Paul Garlick. Its not really that hard is it? Same for the OP if you feel hard done by......wait for it.......mail Garlick!

Talking to Garlick is the correct way to deal with an issue with moderation. He is the one responsible for the moderators and the forum.
His word is final.

Why? The bosses make people mods, if those mods make a decision they obviously believe it to be valid, its up to the bosses of PH to determine whether that is the case

I have never on any forum apart from this one seen so many questions and moans about moderation, most sites just ban you.
