I bought a pair of coil packs from eurocar parts as part of a missfire troubleshooting exercise. They are free to a good home.

I put them on and still had a missfire at high revs. I swapped for Bosch coils (as recommended by TVR power but still had a missfire.

Eventually I swapped the fuel pressure regulator and the missfire was fixed.

So I don't know if the coils were faulty or not. I expect they are fine as the missfire seemed to be related to the fuel pressure regulator.

I can't remember the brand but they cost about £60.

I can bring them to West London or they can be collected from Tetbury (Gloucestershire) but I don't really have time to package and post them.

No problem Peter - I'll bring them along next week. Drop me a mail and they can be collected from Earl's Court area smile

Thread jump...

Can anyone tell me more about the fuel pressure regulator? Im having the same misfire issues and so am going down the easy fix route first. Its just difficult to get parts down here so am going to order the lot up for one parcel.

Where is the regulator positioned and what price (and from whom) can I get my hands on one?

Cheers all

Dave

I'm not an expert but I think it's the brass circular part that sits central above the coil packs at the back of the fuel rail. It looks like it's missing a hose from the top but isn't.

I'm sure someone can put up a pic.
