I find this a slightly odd omission too. PH clearly has its own way of dispensing with the "wrong type of member" (a phrase which in itself makes me feel slightly uneasy), I feel that a separate sub-forum would in most ways regulate itself. I also agree with the sentiments above that there is a lot more variety in potential conversational topics in comparison to, say, a satnav forum.
It doesn't have to be 150Db Saxos that shatter their own windows. A lot of people, myself included are partial to mild upgrades in car audio systems, whether it be upgrading a head unit, speakers or even rear screens for those afflicted with the bane that is children. It is potentially a very broad subject and one that could provide a valuable resource for people searching for knowledgeable information or advice online. Hell it may even attract some of the "right" kind of people and that means advertising revenue which, as we all know, floats Haymarket's boat.
I don't know half of bugger all about the makings of forums and the difficulties involved but would it really be that time consuming to just give it a go on a trial basis? There are a few areas in the Gassing Station that appear to be defunct, I can appreciate that they are essentially archived for reference purposes but a new area that has the potential to broaden PH's appeal can't really be a bad thing, can it?
