Seeing the old RAF lorry which looks prehistoric puts it all in perspective...

I wonder how one of these would perform if re-engineered & built today in a similar fashion to the Eagle E type Jag, take an old classic design but give it modern upgrades & engines

Seen the vid before on youtube but its awfully good old chap. The Lightning still is one of those aircraft that just looks so right (yet probably wasnt that great had it ever come to a real shooting match), still to have managed 30+ years as a frontline fighter it did a good job at helping to persuade the Soviets that our skys remained protected from unwanted visitors.
