Hi all...
I've never been to this part of PH before, but I'm looking for some real life experiences of Irish Terrier ownership.
We just had to have our dog, Millie put to sleep on Thursday due to kidney failure and general old age (she was 15 almost 16 and a whippet/staffy cross).
Always liked the look of the Irish - Millie's late mate, Ted, had a bit in him - the beard, eyebrows etc - and now we'd like the full on version.
They appear to be a similar size to Mille and Ted, which is as big as we want.
Any pointers to temperament, shedding, destruction greatly appreciated!
Thanks.

My best mate's an Irish, owned by friends of ours.
Loyal, great with kids, eats anything and everything, sheds a little, and surprisingly un terrier-like. Whether he's truly representative of the breed others will be better able to say - certainly a different proposition to the 'dales we used to keep!
