Porsche design lead - has it changed recently?

Who's the person responsible for Porsche's design; is it a single person/vision a la Bangle?
Looks-wise, Porsche have left me cold for many years, the stereotypical Teutonic design, but in the last few years, beginning with the Cayman they've become really rather attractive.
The Boxster update is what they should have been from the start, a startling change, the face lifted Cayenne has improved that model dramatically (although with actually not an enormous amount done to it?) and I could have sworn the latest Panameras have been tweaked visually too, but it appears not.
New 911 might be huge, but it looks fantastic.
So, what, if anything has changed, anyone know?
