Sorry - What Car - 5k - 4 door - Interesting

I realise these aren't popular but I am stuck...

Looking at spending somewhere between 2-4 thousand on a 4 door hatch/saloon/estate/4x4.

Only criteria are that it has 4 doors with reasonable amount of room inside for 4 adults, obviously the more fun/interesting the better.

Anything around 30 MPG is fine.

Currently looking at MG ZS/ZT but struggling to find a good one near leeds.

Any other ideas - testing a 5 door ST170 this afternoon.

Honda Accord Type-R, or the later Type-S is a good solid car..

if it was me in that situation (which it was) i'd be looking at an accord type R (which i have had for nearly 4 years now).

lately felt an itch and started looking at 4 door M3's which can be had in that price range.

got over that itch and now keeping mine until at least the next summer is over.

plenty of evos and scoobies in that price range but not very economical i imagine.
