From an agent you're looking from £650> for an 'ok' flat in torry etc. For a decent new build around £850/900.

Really depends when you're looking at moving really and your budget.

I have a 2 bed flat going up for sale soon in Insch, just putting it out there. Got the train in and out of aberdeen. Car space unlike most of aberdeen.

http://www.aspc.co.uk/Search/HomesForLease/CityAnd...

Price varies as you'd expect, dependant on area, age/condition etc. I'm going to be looking for a place with a garage soon and I'm not holding much hope at seeing change from £900pcm. My plan is to sub-let a bedroom for c£500pcm to soften the financial pain.

Huge numbers of contractors and offshore workers up here ruin it for the rest of us mugs laughwink

My 2 bed in Hilton complete with worn out 80s decor was being let for £650/month through an agency. Currently updating the place as it was badly needing done.

Better off buying....a decent 2 bedroom in a decent part of town is circa £800-£1k a month...

Torry etc will take £200 off of that...

Check ASPC.

To buy a decent 2 bedroom place in a decent part of town also requires a £17k deposit...not easy to save for when you're already spending £500pcm for a piddly room! wink

You might consider house sharing in Garthdee if you're going to RGU?

You might be better out of the city and travelling in? As said above, the rental market is pretty bouyant here with hundreds of travelling contractors renting places here whilst keeping the family home in Newcastle, Manchester, Glasgow etc.
