Heater controls playing up!
Discussion
When driving yesterday, the red/blue illumination went out, the red light was on bright and blue on dimly, then got a bit brighter, the controls no longer worked. After stopping for a while, engine off, locked up, it was all fine again for 10-20 mins, then did it again. It did this again after stopping for the last time on the way home.
I have taken a look yet, but has anyone else had this fault?
Thanks

Sounds like the main wires for fans are burning out on the heater control unit box situated in passenger footwell, if connection is really past it then best route is solder direct to the circuit board.
Best way to check is when it next packs up jiggle the wires on heater unit ecu, if fans start back up then its deffo getting too hot in connector.
I did the above and have never had problem since.

That's interesting as I had a passenger with long legs and maybe they had knocked the plug? I'm gonna check there first, thanksBest way to check is when it next packs up jiggle the wires on heater unit ecu, if fans start back up then its deffo getting too hot in connector.
