My other half as a 01 1.7 Puma with 48k on clock, over the last week it has been struggling to start. I initially thought battery on its way out, however I have had checked it and been told there is something constantly draining power. The car will always start eventually, but obviously going to have to get to the bottom of the drainage issue. Does any fellow Ph'r have any advice or had similar issue.

thanks in advance

Can be a tricky one ideally you need an amp clamp on the battery which will tell you how mich power is being drawn then pull the fuses one by one & see which one stops the draw, older fords do sometimes have an issue with the radio not switching off properly (if its the stock head unit) do I would try this first smile

I had this with my FRP. turned out to be the heated front screen. Take the fuse out and see if it still drains the battery.
